Father Figure
Chapter One
The year was 1941, The United States has just entered World War Two and with it The Kingdom of ______, that is, you.
Alfred has been your best friend for years, and there was no way you were going to let him talk out of fighting like he did in World War One.
Which was why you were calmly walking down the hallway to the Allies meeting. You were humming a song you had heard on the radio this morning when you were unexpectedly interrupted.
"Name! How are you, aru?"
Startled, you turned around and you were happily surprised to see Wang Yao, also known as China.
"Yao! It's so nice to see you! I'm fine, how are you?"
Yao smiled at you, his eyes were shining.
"I'm fine, aru. Tell me Name, have you joined the Allies along with America, aru?"
"Of course! There's no way I'm going to let him do this alone."
Yao chuckled, "He's hardly alone, aru."
You smiled, "I know Yao, but you know what I mean."
Yao smiled back, "I do, aru."
He opened the door to the meeting.
"WHY THE BLOODY HELL DID YOU DECIDE ONLY TO JOIN IN NOW YOU BLOODY WANKER?!"
You jumped and quickly hid behind Yao, clinging onto the back of his uniform with your right hand and holding his left hand with your left, trembling uncontrollably all the while.
"Oh come on Arthur! My economy has seriously sucked lately! Besides, I'm here now aren't I?"
"THAT'S NOT THE BLOODY POINT!"
"That' enough, aru!"
Everyone stared at Yao, including you.
"We're supposed to be allies, aru! And yet we're fighting like were bitter enemies, aru! We need to calm down, aru."
Arthur glared at Yao for a few moments before sitting down and muttering darkly. Yao sat down too and you sat next to him. "Xièxiè" you muttered.
"Zhè méishénme, aru." Yao muttered back.
"Right, now onto business."
Everyone looked over at Arthur.
"Now that Alfred and Name have joined the Allies, we have more man power and we should use that to our advantage. Name, how's your military looking?"
You were surprised to be called on first but you didn't show it and you replied calmly, "It's ready to go when given the word."
"Good." He paused before continuing. "Does your king or queen have any objections to attacking Germany? Because if they do it's better if you tell us now rather than later."
You were silent as everyone watched you for your reaction.
You were expecting this. You and your country had a history with Germany, a history that gets worse and worse every time you read about it. You knew everyone, including Alfred, were wondering the same thing; Would you attack Germany? Or would you bail out because of a bit of terrible history?
"No." You replied calmly "They are perfectly fine with it." Arthur nodded and he seemed pleased. "Good. Because the last thing we need is some female tenderness and weakness."
You could see Alfred was about to object to this comment but you shook your head and he clammed up but frowned at Arthur.
As the meeting went on, mainly lead by Arthur although Alfred and Francis both offered suggestions every now and then, you became aware that someone was watching you. When you looked around you saw who was watching you; Ivan Braginski. Russia. When you looked at him he smiled. But it wasn't a happy smile, or a sweet smile, or even a 'nice-to-see-you' smile. It was a smile that hid malicious intent. You knew that smile well and it brought back terrible memories. Memories that you want to forget and yet at the same time, memories you want to cling onto. Feeling uncomfortable, you looked away and spent the rest of the meeting watching and listening to Arthur.
After the meeting, Alfred walked over to you. "Hey, Name, are you ok?" You blinked, confused. "Of course, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Alfred frowned. "I just thought that Arthur's comment about tenderness and weakness might have hurt you. And I did see that commie giving you a really creepy smile." You sighed "Al, you of all people should know I have a history with Ivan. And that's exactly what it is, history. It's over and it will never happen again." Alfred smiled. "Good. Say, where are you staying tonight?" You were confused again. "At the same hotel as everyone else" Alfred grinned. "Not anymore! You're staying with me tonight." Your eyes went wide. "W-what? Seriously Al?" Alfred kept on grinning like the big goof he was. "Sure! Come on, let's go get your stuff!" And with that, he grabbed your hand and ran out of the meeting room as you tried to keep up with him.
Neither you nor Alfred noticed that two men had watched the whole thing.

You don't know exactly how it happened, but the Allied forces managed to capture you...for about the fifth time this month. By prior knowledge, you knew Germany and Kiku were starting to get tired of having to fight their way through enemy lines to have to drag you back home.
Right now, you were sitting in one of the Allied tents

Mist floated from your mouth as you sat crouched on a rickety old stool in the back car park. It creaked and you slammed a foot down on the floor trying to keep your balance. Repositioning yourself you drew your leg back up and wrapped your arms around your knees. You could see the snow flakes dance against the orange street lights and the screech of a motor bike as it broke to go round the corner.
The thumping music pounded through the walls as you heard his voice singing in the background of screaming fans and drunks. You looked down to the side of your make-shift chair checking on the paper bag at its side. Smiling to yourself you placed

"Hey, Gilbert"
"What?" he asks sliding the pancake on to a stack of them. Taking the two plates he had. He set one in front of you and the other in front of him.
"Rawr!"
Gilbert stares at you too shocked to say anything.
"What the hell was that?" he asks.
You sighed and bit into your pancakes.

'If only Gilbert knew that Rawr meant 'I love you' in Dinosaur' you thought as you ate your pancakes.

I've been following this story for a couple chapters. I really like it~
I want to point out that Google Translate lied to you. You should have used "Méiguānxi" for "It was nothing". I know a teeny tiny bit of Chinese... lol. I have no idea what Google translate is doing rofl. "Shénme" (the last part of the phrase it gave you) means "What". XDD I don't know what the rest is. Sorry!
